Our commitment

Weed Mowin' & Blowin' is committed to ensuring that this site can be used by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, magnification, speech recognition, a keyboard alone, or with settings that alter contrast, text size or motion. Accessibility is treated as a requirement of the service, not as an optional enhancement to it.

Standard applied

This site is designed and maintained to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by accessibility legislation and regulators internationally. Conformance at that level also satisfies the earlier version 2.1 at Level AA, which many regulations continue to cite. The standard is applied to every visitor, in every jurisdiction, without exception.

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that parts of the content do not yet conform to the standard in full. The provisions already in place are set out below, followed by the limitations that remain outstanding. No claim of conformance is made in respect of any area that has not been assessed.

Accessibility provisions

The following are available to you on every page of this site:

• Accessibility settings, opened from the accessibility control in the lower corner of any page, which allow you to enlarge or reduce the text, increase contrast, reduce motion, and underline links. The text may be enlarged as far as you require; there is no maximum size. Your selections take effect immediately, apply across the site, require no account, and are retained in your browser for subsequent visits.
• A skip link, allowing you to reach the main content of a page directly without moving through the navigation first.
• Consistent landmarks identifying the banner, the navigation and the main content, so that assistive technology can move between them.
• A visible focus indicator on every link, button and form control, so that your position on the page is never in doubt.
• Form fields with clearly defined boundaries, and errors that are conveyed in text and announced to assistive technology as errors.
• Control over motion. Moving imagery can be stopped, and does not begin of its own accord where your device or your display settings request reduced motion.
• Text that responds to the text size configured in your browser or operating system, in addition to the settings offered here.
• Colour combinations that meet or exceed the contrast ratios required at Level AA, verified as part of our ongoing review.

Known limitations

The areas below are known not to meet the standard in full. They are recorded here so that you are not left to encounter them unannounced, and each is scheduled for remediation. Where a limitation prevents you from completing something, we will complete it with you by another means on request:

• The map. Map markers can be operated with a pointer but are not yet fully operable by keyboard. The same addresses are available as text on the pages that list them.
• The calendar and the photograph carousel, which are not yet fully operable by keyboard alone.
• The larger tables in the administrative area, whose column headers are not yet announced together with their cells.
• Content within individual pages. The framework common to every page has been assessed; assessment of the content inside those pages is ongoing.
